Abat-Jour Conique lampshade by Jean Prouvé for Vitra.
Jean Prouvé designed the Potence wall light collection in the 1940s for his personal use in his home in Nancy, France. The Potence wall lights featured a simple light bulb affixed to a long pivoting metal bar supported by a steel wire. In 1947 Prouvé developed Abat-Jour Conique, a cone-shaped lamp shade to match the Potence wall light collection in its different versions and sizes.
Abat-Jour Conique is the first lampshade designed for Potence by Prouvé and can be used with Potence and Petite Potence lamps. Simply fit the shade over the light bulb and can be removed easily when needed.
Please note that the product does not include the wall lights and only includes a lampshade and a light bulb.
